My 99 V6's transmission has started to give problems when trying to shift into 1st, 2nd and reverse. Oftentimes it's extremely hard to put it into these gears but sometimes it's not. Anyone have an idea as to what the problem could be? Bent forks maybe?

Yeah I have a Steeda Tri-Ax. I changed the fluid about 2 years ago with Mobile 1 Synthetic ATF. Maybe I shouldn't beat the hell out of it like I do...oh well.

sometimes my 02 v6 has a helluva time going into reverse, but other times it works fine. It doesn't happen with any other of my gears. If anyone has made any progress with this problem, post and let me know! I am running the stock shifter.

I finally brought my car to the dealer....ends up I needed a new clutch and transmission nose cone (or something like that). Two days and $739 later, the car shifts like a dream. I don't remember it ever being this smooth.

BTW, Kito, I think your problem is just an inherent design flaw in the transmission. Mine did that even when it was new.

Hope this helps.
