Shifting

i got my first mustang yesterday its a 2010 Gt 5 speed and im perfectly fine with shifting once i get goinng but its really hard to get going for me. I know practice makes perfect but any tips that could help

Best advice I have is- find a big,empty parking lot,from a dead stop- figure out how far the clutch pedal will come up before it starts to pull,when you feel the pull start giving it gas. Few weeks of driving a stick you will be a pro
