FedEX will ship it for $328. Looks like I'll be buying the hood. It'll be in the classifieds in a few days.

and where do you live, is the body shop telling you 328 or did you get that number from fedex.

I mean this in the most sincere way, find your backbone and go raise some hell at that shop

No that's not the case at all. I already had a 4" cowl. The body shop was putting together a parts list for an ESTIMATE. They then sent the estimate to insurance. Insurance was supposed to be sending me the check for the amount In the estimate and I was to decide to fix it or not. They called and said that they accidentally sent the money straight to the body shop. That's why the body shop begAn ordering parts. The body shop, my agent/the adjuster, all thought different things were happening.

In my opinion, the gripe is between the insurance and the body shop.

Take your money and wipe your hands

If the ins. company sent the money to the body shop on accident that is their fault not yours. I can understand how the shop is p'od but they should be talking to the ins. company not you. When the insurance company took the money back from the shop, the shop should have thrown a fit right there with them, not you.......

In terms of "finding a backbone", I've beeN in the office arguing with the dealership owner for 2 weeks now. After a long "discussion", they're shipping the hood back for $150 and I'll have my money next week. Mission accomplished. Somehow after sending them the price quote from cervinis the hood that cost $750 suddenly only cost them $600. Weird....
