Hey guy's with the recent loss of my motorcycle comes a large insurance check......so i was going to do a few more mods to my car, Here's my question.... My car is lowered with the steeda sport springs, maximum motorsports caster camber plates, full lenth sub frames... i want to change out the stock shocks, and also do it myself.... Not to sound dumb or anything, but will changing my shocks affect the alingment or not?
Also I was wondering what the prefered choice of shock would be for my car....I mostly drag race and the occasional street romp, I love to turn but theres not much around here so it's mostly straight lines for me.... I'm going to be upgrading the brakes to the baer track kit and also some bullit spec brakes in the back so I figured while i had the brakes off it would be a good time to do the shocks too... thanks for any help you can give....sorry bout the long post...

As long as you leave the c/c plates locked down, it shouldnt affect your alignment. Mine was fine after the new shocks & struts. I have the '03 cobra bilstein HD struts and '93 Gt Bilstein shocks and the ride is nice. It is stiff and responsive, but without rattling your teeth. I drove it 4000 miles round trip at christmas time, and was worried that it might turn my kidneys to mush, but it was fine. Just be prepared to feel all of the bumps in the road!
