You need struts too? If you have the money a set of Bilstein HD's would work well with other suspension mods down the line, if you plan on any. Also, if your looking for a good price at under $260 you cant beat a set of Tokico HP's. I have them on my lowered 2002 GT and have had no problems. Theres plenty of shocks/struts out there, just depends on what you want and what you will use them for. Adjustable/Non-Adjustable? Street/Strip? Etc...

If you want to replace all four for less than $100 go to AutoZone and get Gabriels like I did. Got 20k miles on them and they are holding up fine.

Didnt you recently create a thread stating a problem with your Gabriels? Specifically having a 1/4 inch gap, as well as the rubber bushing at the top of the shocks that you said was less effective than the stockers? In which you stated you were probably going to try out Monroes??

Just checking...

Im not saying you havent gotten 20k out of them, but if he is going to lower his car then he is going to need a more performance orientated shock with the proper valving.

They are the cheapest, I have had some minor fitment issues. Monroe costs twice as much. He did not say anything about lowering when I made my post. Simply offering the cheap option that's all...

Yeah I understand, just thought you were undercutting my given options. He never specified anything besides shocks, so any shock would be good advice.

The cheap option isnt always the best. Sometimes the cheap option is the most expensive.

I am very happy with my Monroe's as they havent yet created any problems and still affordable.

Yeah because you instead of getting the right shock that fits. Putting washer in it hoping to make it fit.

it really depends on what you're going to do to your car. if you want a cheap peformance shock/strut look at KYB, i believe they still have a lifetime warranty on them (they did when i bought them back in '99)

you can find a number of others out there sold at car part stores that off decent ride and price, just research what you're looking into before you purchase
