Has anyone used Scott fab. Shock replacement? Anyone ever weld in their own metal towers from local metal yard, if so what gauge did you use ?

I’ve replaced the lower part when I repaired the rust on mine.

Scott Rod offers strut towers now? Or are you talking about the shock towers in the rear of the car?

Strut tower is 16 gauge.

I'm wondering if I should have someone cut out good shock towers from their parts car. Or just weld in new metal .. if welding new metal what gauge would it be ? Front towers are shot

That will work fine if that takes care of your rotting area.

I replaced my entire right side frame rail and used a sheet of 16 gauge steal for the shock tower repair. The frame rail is 14 gauge. This is the kit I used.
