Shocks and struts

I believe I am needing some new shocks and structs. My car was lowered but I think the stock shocks and struts were left alone. Car is really bumpy, and I was wondering what some people have and are they easy to change thanks.

I went with Bilsteins and am really enjoying them. They're on the expensive side but I think they're worth it. BTW shock/strut install is pretty straight forward and can be done in an afternoon.

I'm in your same shoes right now. I have a drop with stock shocks/struts and my ride quality SUCKS! I'm going with Tokico HP's all around, since I'm a poor student and don't want to fork out too much money for a decent ride. Comments are welcome, as I am about to order these in a couple days if there are no objections.
BTW, I'm going with Fox shocks for the rear since they are shorter.

I'm installing Strange 10-way adjustable shocks this w/e. But they are for my drag springs.

What does that do I am think make it lower, but would it hurt the ride at all???

1TallMF: I am in the same shoes as you. Stock shocks with lowering spring and it sucks! I am being told go with either Tokico HP's or Strange 10 ways. Please post your results with the HP's because they are a little cheaper.

I run a Prokit and HPs.
I really like the HP's - they do great for my tastes and work with the rather harsh springs.

YMMV.

It doesn't make it lower, the springs will decide the ride height of the car. Its just that since the car has effectively lost about 2" of suspension travel (on my drop, anyway), the shocks tend to bottom-out easier. Fox shocks are about 1" shorter than sn's, so the effective travel of the shock is increased, thus making it harder to bottom-out.
Plus they are a bit cheaper, which makes them that much more attractive.

eibach sportlines / upr cc plates / es isolators

i wanted tokicos or kybs but didnt want to spend the cash. i went with a set of take-off 04 GT shocks/struts. im sure the tokicos or kybs are a much better package but these work just fine. ride quality is good and smooth. ebay for $75

I have pro-kits and HPs all around. Really enjoy the ride. As far as fox shocks, according to Josh at stangsuspension.com, you want the sn95 shocks and the fox struts. There is something with the internal bumpstop or something like that. He does a really good job explaining this. I would contact him since he also has pretty good pricing. Good luck.

Interesting you would mention this, because I was under the impression you wanted sn struts and fox shocks??? Can someone please clarify or validate this info before I order? I am actually just getting the shocks done now, I will get the struts done next spring.

whatever you do, don't use m/m c/c plates with strange struts. either is fine by itself, but together, they rattle like crazy at slow speeds on normal roads.

the fox struts are a little shorter than the sn95 struts, so if the car is lowered, the fox struts may be a better fit.
