i found these for my 89 2.3 hatch

i asked him if it would fit the 5.0 or 2.3 setup and he said both. will these do anything to my car or will they work ok?

They're just stock replacements, but if they're valved for a GT, you'll probably notice a stiffer ride, and they'll probably handle better.

If you put 2.3L struts on a GT, you are going to need a spacer to stick between the strut mount and spindle. The 2.3L spindles have beefier spindles where the strut bolts up. You figure it would be the other way around, but it's not.
