Can anyone with experience comment on either Fast Specialties or Blue Oval Performace/All Ford Performance in Vancouver? I'm interested in a coil over conversion, CC plates and full length SF (all max motorsports stuff). Future motor mods will include pulley and tune.

I'm a bit perplexed... I went to Fast Specialties, after some glowing recomendations from others up my way. My prev dyno was in Tacoma on a Dynojet - 419 RWH. Fast Specialties recently dyno'd my car at 421 RWH - with their Mustang Dyno. I expected the numbers to be notably lower on the Mustang brand dyno, but it was higher. Now I'm wondering if the dyno results can be trusted... My next mods will include everything from suspension mods to welding to tuning. I don'e see any mention of a dyno at AFP...

You guys both suggest AFP. I guess I'm looking for more info on why them... Not meaning to be a pest, or disrespect at all.

AFP doesnt have a onsite Dyno. Rrev in Janzen Beach has a very nice Dynojet that does load like a Mustang. We like the simplicity and repeatability of the Dynojet. Dont forget about KKP too- they rent Rrev's dyno as well and Jon is pretty cool (stay away from ASD ).

Most of all though, dyno numbers mean very little to nothing if the conditions are not EXACTLY the same. A slight change in weather will throw it off from one run to another. Your runs made on the same day under the same conditions are all that can be trusted- and there you are only looking for changes that help or hurt, not necessarily the ending number. Dyno numbers just dont mean much compared to seat-of-the-pants.

Summit for parts and all ford for installation! If i were you then go to a couple of the shops and see what they can get out of your tune?! If it were me then i'd ask around at the track who everyone uses? But like mentioned above hands down it would be "ALL FORD" jeff and jeff are great! Havent delt with fast or KKP, but jon at KKP is very smart and allen is alright to! Fast is running a 10.5 sec 66/65? stang. And ALL FORD runs a ????????????? damn to many cars! peace

I would recommend AFP if you are looking for someone up your way. Jeff H. & Jeff M. are topnotch guys. Nice 03' vert by the way and happy modding.

Last I heard BOP will try to price match as best as possible. Be better to keep business local so you get good tech support.

Will TRY is the key word. I dont have a clue what they want for these but i know fast had the blue 9MM ford racing spark plug wires for $69.95 and would take a week to get, while summit sent mine for $39.95 plus $9.95 handleing no shipping and it took 3day's! Now thats fast cheap and service!Plus summit will pay shipping back to them from you if you dont want the parts NO questions asked!!!! Sorry but untill i can get a local to beat summits price i'm loyal to them !Unless it's something i need right away. peace

If you re-read the post, Jon was talking about Blue Oval not Fast Specialties. Did you talk to Chung about his price on them? I haven't bought a ton of stuff from Chung, but everything I have bought from him was within the price of most of the mail-order places.

Who is Chung? Also, does anyone have experience with Travis (@ Fast) doing tuning work? Their web site talks about his training with SCT... I'm not local enough to know all these guys by name like you guys do.

For as many questions as you have, why don't you take a couple hrs of your time and venture into both locations and see for youself. They are within a mile of each other. Blue Oval and All Ford are in the same building. Blue Oval sells the parts and All Ford does the handy work that we all have grown too love Fast is right down the street. Both locations are open normal business hrs. Good luck on your hunt

John, some of the things you type, I have to read over and over to try and understand what it is your trying to say through the keyboard. Very difficult sometimes. Please proof read what you type before sending it. If it dont make since too you, then its probably pretty safe bet either will we

Sorry, Chung is Blue Oval Performance. Chung, Jon (KKP) and Travis (Fast) are the chip/programmer tuners in the area.

Chung usually has very competetive prices. If I happen to find a better deal somewhere else, I still like to buy from Chung and support the local business. Chung is an honest guy, he hasnt tried to lowball me yet (not that Ive caught, at least ).

BOP/AFP have built some very impressive cars (Fast has some nice ones too). The track support is there also if theyre on hand.

Jeff (AFP) is alos an honest guy and warrenties his work.

I havnt dealt with Fast, but Ive heard a lot about them as well, they have a good reputation in the area for building some nasty Lightnings.

Ray- I always knew there was something odd about you.
