Just got back from the rear end shop in Santa Rosa and they wont intall my gears because they say one: my Richmonds whine and two: 4.10's are too low a gear and i wont have a 1st gear anymore. Since when are shops fairy godmothers?

ask them if its common practice to turn down business or if they just dont know their ass from a hole in the ground about modulars.

My first gear seemd to work just fine when I had the 4.10s in my GT. If I owned a shop and someone asked me to set their car on fire and was willing to pay, not only would I do it, but Id charge them for the lighter fluid and matches

That's some lame crap right there I tell ya! 4.10's don't whine if set up correctly and who are they to determine whether 1st gear will or will not be worthless for you. You're paying for a service, not an opinion.

Laugh in his face, peel out of there, and never go back.

Go elsewhere, even if it costs more, and don't "settle" for 3.73's because some clown doesn't know his azz from a hole in the ground. I have 4.10's and use 1st gear all the time when starting from a dead stop with no problem.

I see you mentioned Santa Rosa.
Update your location, for future reference.

NOOOO...your in the bay area right?

Go to cafords.com, sign up, and PM JohnB. he is the tech mod.

He installed my 4.10s for $180 and he did it in a about 1 hour and 15 minutes with me just standing there talking to him the whole time. He is highly recommended in the bay area for gear install...well hell, almost any install. CONTACT HIM!

EDIT: He is in Susin City BTW
