Short shifter...Are these an good?

I'd just go ahead an fork up the extra cash for a decent one that I know I'll like. IMHO, the shifting is where you get a lot of your driving satisfaction, so you shouldn't skimp out on that aspect of your car.

I agree. I drove my neighbors 94 V6 :notnice: the other day and the shifting was horrible. I knew my MGW made a difference but since I've had it for a year now I forgot just how bad the stock 1 was.
 
If you're going to buy the parts, get quality, proven ones. You'll regret skimping and end up buying the better stuff later. If you don't want to spend that much on new stuff then just keep an eye out for quality used gear. It's hard to get a used shifter for cheap though, because there's nothing really that gets worn or breaks.
