Ok I am considering buying a short throw handle to replace the stock handle. I am trying to decide between 2 handles actually, both at mustangtuning.com. An Adjustable one that cost $30 or the trick shifter on there for $22.

Has anyone done this and did it make any difference? If so what handle did you buy and was it worth it?

Or should I just not waste my money and save up for a Pro 5.0 next year?

Thanks
Travis

seems to me you'd just have a different handle and still a sloppy shifter. you may just be putting a bandaid on and not fixing the wound. I'd probably just get the real shifter when you can.

The Jack Roush classic shifter handle looks sweet. www.roushparts.com But I agree you might just want to replace the whole shifter with a short throw.

It's going to make it harder to shift. It won't improve the quality of the shifter, or it's lack of shift stops. Short throw shift handles are find if you're 5' 6" and normally have to move forward in your seat to reach 3rd and 5th, but in the end, it's just going to end up giving you a sore wrist.

All I am running is a Tri Ax Shifter handle ($29) I like it.

I don't think the stock shifter is sloppy or junk. But then again some people can't shift to save there life so they need all of the help they can get.

By the way doesn't the 3650 have internal stops?

Yes, I believe you're right. Good point. I guess I was comparing it to the T-45's in the earlier models.
