short throw shifter in '05

Emilee, the install of the Tri-ax is more involved than in previous years. I did the install myself and it took about 1 hour. I had to lift the car onto jack stands, disconnect the front of the driveshaft from the transmission, lower the transmission a bit by removing the crossmember bolts to allow for the removal and installation of the bolt that mounts the support arm to the top of the transmission. After these two things are done the rest of the install is a snap and goes back together quicker that it comes apart. As for the results, the new shifter is definetely worth it for feel and quick/positive shifts as long as you don't mind a little extra drivetrain noise that comes thru the shifter itself. I was considering one for my '05 also, thanks for the post. By "Noise" do you mean audible decibles or vibrations? Does the stock shifter avoid this noise through extra gaskets or what?

They have modified the shifter and relocated the mounts from the body to the transmission housing. Great improvements in engagement and solid feel.

I think you can add any short throw you want.
