shorter shifter handle ?

I have the hurst shifter in my car and love it but would like the handle to be shorter. Anyone know what my options are? Most of them I have found are for later model cars

If you can MIG weld it, shortening the old one works fairly well. I angled back a (straight up) Hurst Indy shifter handle once by doing that. If you weld fast, the chrome wont burn off too far up the stick and the boot will still cover it.

I cut 2" off mine and redrilled the 2 mounting holes.

Thats what id do. simple! i like simple
