Anyone know of any shorty headers that fit the same as the stock exhaust manifold?

Previous owner welded all the pipes together so I'd like to find a pair of shorty headers that I can just bolt up w/o having to cut and re-weld the exhaust system.

well, since we are on the subject of shortys, not to detur from your question, Id like to know what shorties could be pointed in the opposite direction. Basically to do a turbo setup.

I think the jba or headman headers would work for you. I have a set of jba headers at work though, and I have to say they are constructed good, but the exh port size is terribly small and doesnt line up for crap on the heads. For the money they ask for jba that is suprising.

I tried the same (finding bolt-on replacement for 289 stock manifolds), but didi not succeed. However, I got some Hedman 88400, and had the exhaust shop cut and weld a little.

Results:
More hp on (only) high rpm
No noticable alteration in exhaust sound

However, I wrapped mine to keep underhood temp down, and to reduce pops and pings

The stock 5.0 shorties are good for turbos, they are small and build pressure quick.
