Yes, it's me; the every confused 'almost' pony car buyer!
Friday night fate almost intervened when I stopped by the local ford dealer. There up front in a special parking place was a yellow 06 Mustang with a mostly black hood with what looked like a GTR Ram Air hood. It also 'looks' like it has (adding disclaimer, because not exactly sure of the brand) Xenon side scoops, Xenon quarter window covers, Street scene ducktail, CDC black chin spoiler, and a black tail lamp panel cover which really makes the rear of the car look much better, IMHO.
Okay, the caveat? (hope I spelled that right) It's a V6 with a standard transmission. The seats are not leather. The price is set about mid 26 grand, about a thousand more than the cheapest GT there (Silver).
I'm used to the little V8 in my F-150, although no real powerhouse. Even though the V6 Mustang is probably faster than my truck though, I'm wondering if I would regret not waiting for a good GT to come along. Have not checked the insurance rates yet, but I'm an old fart with a fairly clean record, so that might not be much of an issue either way.
Anyway, sorry for the long story, just not sure what to do. Thanks for any advice.

Also sorry about the added option of paying off house, but theoretically could pay it off in a couple of years at this rate if I don't buy another car.
P.S.S. Sorry, also forgot to mention that after talking to a rookie (no offense, he was just new) salesman, he went and talked to the manager and supposedly was told that they'd let me have it for $43,800 after rebates.
