I curently use some Mac shorties equal lenth 1 5/8...and a 2½ off-road h-pipe

If i go with some full lenth,1 5/8 maybe 1 ¾ and the h-pipes that fit them, will i see some thing on the ¼?

Look my sig to see my mods..

Im running 12.68 on the ¼. i want to run more like 12.40...

I would go with the 1 5/8s, the 1 3/4s will be too big. You'l definately gain significant upper end power, and at least noticeable low end. My car gained all accross the board, but goes nuts after 3k.

I'm currently learning the hard (dumb) way that LTs + slammed ride height don't mix. We did the ghetto drop spring chop on my coupe just for kicks and cut too much spring. If your car is slammed i'd suggest raising it a tad unless you don't see much street driving.

with all your mods beleve me you will realy enjoy them, for me its long tubes or nothing, agreed witt the 1 5/8's,

you only really need 3 inch the whole way back if ur running near 800 horsepower, and hell if your running that much might as well run open headers

I've got MAC LT's, although I did switch from stock exhaust. They're a total B$#% to get on but the power gains are very noticable. Like mentioned above you'll feel a little more low end torque and a little extra juice in the mid-upper RPM range. I cant say how much better they'd be than your current setup though.

1 5/8" here too

yes long tubes are worht it, especially on a car that is not stock, such as yours. They are a pain to install but bassani and hedman both have headers now that are put in one tube at a time with the collector simply sliding on at the end.

I don't think that you will see the incredible increase in et that you're expecting from LT's. Frankly I'm tired of them. Try installing a set of those friggin 1 3/4's!!!!! Anyway, keep the same H-pipe and try some big tube shorties. I think that you will see all the same benefits of LT's with less work and easier tranny access etc. Since big tube shorties are kinda new- I'm open for debate on this one but I think its a more sensible and cost effective approach that will have the same outcome.

i love mine... very worth the extra time to install... the torque gain is amazing, but then again this is also over the STOCK shorties... in ur case it might not be the same...

if there so good why dosent everyone get them? are they so hard to instal just cause there so much bigger and longer? if there worth it i would just take them to a shop or a friend my dad has, whats the most u can drop your car with lt's? ive heard problems with them like hitting the chasis or something does that hapeen to everyone? sry for stealing thread but it sounds like if u want to be patient and take your time to instal them then it would be worth it, thanks for anything

well....i had to go back to stock shortties after the mac shorrties went to crap... the welds all blew apart at the collectors so i just put a set of stock ones on... i got a hella deal on the longtubes and h pipe so i said what the heck...its really not that much of a pain to install just time consuming to get the job done right the first time... i think with a motor that has a little bit of mods done, it can be a benifit...
