Hey you all so been looking into this cobra intake but I was just notified of it having this surface crack. Is this still usable or should I stay away? Looks clean other wise, but is that crack leading to a quick end for this intake or could still get some good use out of it?

I'd buy it if the price is $200 or less, and snag and explorer lower. Any more than that I'd move on. No reason to take a chance unless you know someone that can weld that up easily and cheaply.

Of course, just getting a $100 explorer upper/lower is an option too

ive thought about that option as well found a pick and pull yard that had a mountaineer with the intakes intake still. Could actually get the set for 65 bucks. I guess it's the aesthetics, just want a cobra,GT40 or trickflow but I'm in the do I want to stay 302 and maybe blower or turbo option or go with a swap. But as for that cobra he wanted 300 for the upper originally. Told him 250 but then he can back with that surface crack after he cleaned it up. He is now including an explorer that has been tapped and drilled for an act sensor. But now wants 300 again for the set which I may offer another low ball for since it is cracked. What do you think?
