I'm trying to Change my black/grey interior, to black/white. Everything's going great so far, but I'm now at the point where I have to do the dash. I wanna do a nice job, so the steering wheel, and passenger airbag cover need to come off. For the passenger side, can I take off just the cover, or do I have to remove the whole airbag? I read somewhere, that if the airbag's come out, they'd have to be profesionally reinstalled. Well, the driver's side will have to be taken out, cause I got a new Leather wrapped wheel. So, is it true that I'd have to have that profesionally reinstalled, or would I be ok as long as I do the whole job, without turning on the car? I know I have to disconnect the battery, so I deffinatly won't be turning the car on.

Both of mine are out.. but I hardly ever have anybody ride with me and my seats have shoulder harnesses so I didn't think I need them. If your going to run normal seat belts I would say keep them in.

Well I'm only gonna take them out temporaraly. yeah I can't spell, but still... The driver's side will go on the new steering wheel, and the passenger side will also go back in. I just wanna dye that cover on the passenger side, but I'm worried about this professional installation I heard about. Does anyone know if this is true?

You do not need them pro installed. The steering wheel is held on by two 10 mm bolts. Just be careful. Disconnect the ground and wait at least 1 hr prior to removal. There isa capacitor that is charged and can still be charged after removal. just be careful and try not to stay directly in front of it. Stand to the side if at all possible.
