i live in ar and theres no inspection on your car so i dont have to keep it
up to emmisions standerds what would taking my cats out do and wht other stuff could i take of /bypass/disable
and how much hp would it give me

When people take their cats off, usually it's for the sound. Changes in power will be minimal. You may even lose some low-end torque with an o/r h-pipe. Hi-Flow cats actually so hp increases of 2-3, even 4 or 5 hp. All of this is of course minimal changes, so nothing you would need to worry about. Heck, if there's no emissions testing, then definitely take the cats off.

taking the cats out and getting an h-pipe or something can make a noticiable difference. That was the first mod on my other stang and I could tell a difference in acceleration and sound. I would definently do it for the performance gain and I would replace the 02 sensors while you are downt there. Also remove the smog pump once you get rid of the cats, you won't notice any difference but it clears up that right side and makes it easier to change plugs and makes a nice difference in appearence. I would do it.

somebody also said something about a air silencer where is that

It's behind the airbox in the fenderwell. If your car is all stock, I would do the free mods first. You will get more from them than the h pipe. In fact, an mentioned, you may lose power. Putting an off road pipe on my old GT made me loose a tenth or two at the track.

You will gain a significant weight savings loosing the stocker, it's a heavy pos... It might be contradictory to what some other people are saying, but I feel that I gained a little bit with the o/r h... but that might just be the tingly feeling you get from a MUCH better sounding exhaust.
