Should new gas tanks be treated?

My new gas tank arrived today. I was watching some restoration show and they were sealing an old gas tank (after it was dipped) to prevent future rust. Is this something that should be done to a new tank? I will of course be replacing the sender, lines, filters and fuel pump. Any recommends on the gph flow rate of an electric fuel pump for a 302 with 600 cfm holley carb?

Not sure of gph, but 4 to 6 psi is more than enough! No regulator needed.

I wouldn't put ANY sealer inside that tank . These tanks are cheap, I'd rather replace one every few years than mess with a sealer.

It probably took 40 years for the original tank to rust out. My tank is original and not the least bit corroded inside. It may even be galvanized.

I'd leave the sealer for a questionable tank, not a new one.

I just replaced a tank and the new one was galvanized. It took 40 years for the first one to rust out. I will be driving a flying car by the time this one rusts out.
