Someone told me a long time ago that it's good to set the A/C to the off position before turning off the car, otherwise you could eventually cause damage (to the a/c not the car) if you start it and it's on. True?
Starting the car with the A/C on also puts extra strain on the starter motor. To me, it's just good habits to turn everything off before turning off the car - and starting the car with no accessories on.vidmaster said:if you crank the engine with the a/c on, it will eventually blow the compressor. thats why i always turn my key first without starting it. lets the fuel system pressurize and i also get to turn the a/c off if i left it on![]()
