Should we swtich to cooler plugs for nitrous?

125HP SHot on my H/C/I motor. Also, what gap? Will a cooler plug slow it down while not on the nitro? Thanks. :SNSign:

You NEED colder plugs not sure on gap it's been a while since I looked into it.

YES, colder plug gapped at .035".

x3 Can't tell you about it slowing down N/A though, I've always run colder plugs.

The gap will slow you down N/A. Noticeably.

You can compensate for it with more timing though (if you have a chip or something and it's easy to toggle back and forth between tunes).

EEK. That sucks man. I will have a togle switch though. With that gap, how high can I go on timing? 18*? Higher? Are those Nitrous express plugs with the 4 electrodes better than any other plug?

O' also, any particular plug for mt TFS TW heads? Thx

I just use normal autolite #24 plugs. #25 is the stock heat range.

I have to run 3924's for mt TW Heads so I bought 3923's for cooler. So how much HP does it take away guys? Will the MSD direct replacement coil help considering my gap is smaller?

Pokageek, I thought you had a TwEECer, No? Maybe I am confusing you with someone else. If wrong maybe consider the TwEECer rather than the switch chip. With the TwEECer you can just read your EEC as is then just have one setting for Nitrous (smaller gap) and Non-nitrous (stock gap) that way you have the best of both worlds. Plus the costs of the two are very close if not =.

I am also interested in what you asked here because I am in the planning stages of acquiring the NX Plate Kit but still researching. So now I have one of my questions answered.

No I have custom tune. I don't want to be pulling the spk plugs out constantly to change gap though.

According to Kauffman Motorsports there should be no difference in power or tq (they have dyno tested) by changing the gap in the spark plug. AND there is no SOP difference. The people who have noticed a difference have something wrong with their cars.
