I know, I know... good point. I'm probably just being paranoid, but lets face, it sure seems to be getting worse out there... Stories of people being followed home from shows and the like seem more common than they used to be. You can bet that professional thieves will be haunting the big shows and checking hotel parking lots. I do think its probably less likely to happen if you're just tooling around (how likely are you to be spotted in traffic by a thief???) though. BTW, I do know of guys that don't leave their plates on at shows... Seriously, I'd be more worried about someone who lives close to me following me home and trying to take the car (or a local tracing the ownership thru DMV) from there than some "internet predator"... Just my .02.
BTW, BobV, it was very nice to see the well deserved feature on your car. Congratulations.
I attend several shows hundreds of miles from home each year also - should I not drive in Nashville (with 4000+ other Mustansg) with the plates on?
