I don't know, personally if you can get past the ridiculous parts in those movies (in which there are many), there are plenty of cars and driving to watch. I enjoy them, even though whenever they start talking I pretty much tune out the movie, but it's not like my generation has many choices as far as driving enthusiast movies. If they made a movie like bullitt now, I'd be one of the first in line to see it, but movie quality these day is subpar, to say the least, and nothing like that will be out for a long time.
The Gone in 60 Seconds remake with Nicholas Cage was about the best driving movie I've seen that would be considered in my generation. The first Fast and Furious was watchable, but after that I never saw anything more than pieces of the other two.
