Shutting down

Hey Everyone..Looking for your help once again. Iam having an issue with the car shutting down while Iam driving. Here are the symptoms... Car runs great until I get about 30 or so miles on it then it just shuts off. It will usually shut down for a second and then come right back on and then in a mile or so it will shut down completely. I can crank on it, sometimes it will start and sometimes it wont until I let it sit for a few seconds to a few minutes. when it shuts down it completely dies, there is no sputtering or anything like that. I just replaced the igniton module and it did it again to me this morning. Like I said it runs fine until I get some miles on it then it starts acting up. The only ignition upgrade I have is an MSD Blaster TFI coil that has been on the car for a few months now. Could it be going bad?? I still have the original.

Car is a 94 5.0 5 spd..87000 miles..basically stock except for cold air, pulleys, throttle body and 4:10 gears.

PIP inside distributor is the issue,

Check inside the distributor. If you see fine metal shavings or gray dust, your PIP is definitely out.

Had the same symptoms when my PIP went out.
