Did you read the article? Super quiet operation was part of the concept. How good of an ear do you have and how quiet is it really? Hmmmm....

Besides a nova IMO never fits under the sleeper catergory. Most people didn't even know there was POS models of the nova, most times when a person hears "nova" they think muscle car.

Nevertheless, it's an awesome car and setup which i can totally appreciate.

I have a buddy with a Nova similar to that....but it's completely unrestored and wearing the original black paint and doesn't look too great....but it's rockin a 711hp Merlin 540 big block and runs 9s with an all steel/all stock body.

But most people probably assume its just got a mild 350 with a few bolt ons. It looks like a car a 17 year old kid would build.

Ya know, back in the day the Nova WAS a piece of crap....untill Chebby realized people were racing the crap out of them. They were originated as an economy car....and dare i say it....were similar to the Civic by today's standards. It wasn't untill the horsepower wars that Chevy started putting serious engines in them. Before that the performance was all Camaro and Chevelle.
