sickest sounding exhuast?

Depends on the combo.. Yesterday I was at a car show, and hear a coupe that was set up like a renegade car, he had long tubes, an X pipe with dumps, not to mention a hell of a blower... sounded insane....

/\ Yep, that sounds pretty sick. Long tubes, o/r h with macs. My personal favorite is an o/r x with macs. It must have tails though.

Man, that sound identicle to my car, the way it is right now! But mine is Bassani headers and custom straight pipes all the way back. Getting some mufflers Tuesday though, the straight pipes sound mean as heck idling and low to mid rpm's but when I lay into it it gets a little obnoxious!
Where can you buy the o/r x-pipe for a mac cb that you can also use with lt's?
I think the best sounding exaust has more to do with the engine it is connected to. A stock mustang with aftermarket exaust still sounds like a stock mustang, just louder. Put a nice cam and espcially some nice heads on it, totally different.

Any o/r x-pipe for lt's will work with a mac cat-back.
Here's a vid of my buddy's (bentley429) car. Unequal shorties, o/r x, mac cat-back. 302 with Windsor Sr. heads, Crane 2031, and a Powerdyne. This is one of the best sounding mild stangs I've heard.

I love Bassani also, but I have the quiet thunder muffs and its louder inside my car then it is outside!!

what kinda HP the motor is putting out will really give it that badass sound regardless of what mufflers you have.
