side airbags dash lite

had battery disconnected for about a day while i put new carpet in 05 gt.unpluged seats and then repluged them when i was done.now dash lite for side airbags won't go out.how do you rearm the sensor?

I also have the SABs and I had my passsenger seat out for several days last summer and once plugged back in, I had no such warning light. Perhaps take the seats back out and make sure the connectors aren't dirty and not making full contact.

did you install the airbags, and then connect the battery?

did't take the side bags out.pulledthe seats after i disconnected them. put them back in and hooked them up.both sides had only two connections.one grey and one yellow.just pulled both seats and rehooked them up.still on.

disconnect the battery for a bit, then reconnect.

did that with also pulling fuse.nothing.looked it up on my disc and it says there is a rearming tool. i'm going to talk to friend at the dealer monday.thanks for suggestions.
