Whats up guys,

What do you guys think of this side exhaust? I wanted something different and the muffler shops where over charging. Went to local parts store and came up with this. It sounds awesome and look bad a$$. Theres no mufflers at all. Its attached to the X-pipe. I can easily swap them in minutes

I had dumps before this. Its loud. When you downshift, it really sounds good. It does not smell that bad.

Thanks for the props guys :nice:

just4bob50: Thats the closet pic I can get fromthe side. I will try and re-take more pics

I have always liked side exit exhaust. I am completing some stuff on my hood, then will do my side exhaust. One good things about the Tbirds, is if you remove the gas tank that hangs under the drive shaft and rear seat, and put a fuel cell in the trunk, you have a neat place for side exit exhaust.

Details on how it will be routed.

I hope to have it done before NMRA at Bowling Green KY.

I think bob means from farther away not closer so we can see what it looks like to other drivers :D

393Bird, Nice TBird. Once you get the side exhaust it will look hot :nice:

Heres a few side pics

It only cost $40 bucks and less then 1 hour to get it on, you cant go wrong. I cant wait to hit the track with them.

Sevan, what kinda wheels are you runnin? Look like Repo CobraRs but Ive ever seen them with the dimples like that. They look awsome!

Back to the exhaust, Im not really a side exhaust guy unless its routed cleanly through the body. Have have seen On "Trucks!" tv show a unit that you install through the sheet metal of your ride. You basically cut a 5x7" hole and this product cleans up and fills in the body and allows passage through the metal for exhaust pipes. Id like to try something like that.
Nice work on making your own setup. I always respect that. Anyone can take thier car to a shop have have anything done. Its takes heart to make it happen yourself!

joelliott thanks for the compliment on the rims. The rims are Motorsport R's. I really liked them when I first saw them around 2 years ago. :D

I have seen the the show on trucks with the side exhaust. I wanted to try something different, I had the original setup, then went to dumps and my buddies and I have always wanted to try side exhaust. My buddies and I are always about pushing the limit on what we can come up with :D and we like it, plus this makes it easier for me to swap out when it comes to emmission in 2 years.

Thanks

Wouldn't you want the tail pipes facing toward the back? (I.e. with the opening of the pipes toward the back?) Seems like it would just grab an awful lot of air sticking out like that.
