side exit question

i am interested in getting the borla side exit system with the svo side skirts. my question is can i run the side exit system with my stock skirts for a while, because i wont be able to paint for some time, or do i have to have the svo ones on for mounting or something? thanks

some guys on here have run without the skirts, either temporarily or permanently. There is no reason that you can't, the tips just arent the prettiest lookin things where they are supposed to be covered by the skirts. It sorta has an 00R look without the skirts. In the end, its all personal preference. But yea, you can run without the skirts if you need/want to.

I just saw pics yesterday of someone on here with just side exits (no rocker valance) and I thought it looked golden. Just MHO. I do love the molded look of the valance, but I know I could never justify the cost of one of those kits (I could rework the exhaust and make side exits myself).

Mine, a Bassani system, just has brackets that mount under the car for the tips. I personally like the no skirt '00 Cobra R look.

i had the spintech side exits. the tips that come with the kit are awesome. i took some pics of just the tips, but cant find em. if i do ill post em up. heres one i had in my album..

I run the Borla SVO kit without the skirts and rather like the look. Here are a couple of pics.

And for u guys with sideexhaust, is the drone bad like it is with dumps? Or is it just loud with the exhaust coming out right there? I would love to run the spintech side exhaust.....
