I have a stock 87 mustang gt thats still speed density and have a couple questions for you guys.
Its still in the paint shop now and I probably wont get it back for a week or two so, I would like to know how to fix these problems when i get it back.

1) my hazard lights work but my signals don't. I noticed there wasn't a flasher in the fuse box but there was one under the dash just hanging there so i replaced it and it's still the same. is there sapose to be one in the fuse box also?

2)when I first start the car you cant touch the gas peddle or she will die out and shut off, then after its warmed up enough the idle goes up and down till it eventually shuts off. I took the tps off and held the throttle and idled it up a little bit and keep it there and it still jumps up and down. so could this be the egr or iac? and what would happen if i just made a block off plate and bolted on there in place of them.

3) I bought a set of ford racing valve covers and plan on putting them on as soon as I get the car back from paint, I also plan on taking the intake off and painting it. so i figured this would be a good time to put on some 1.7rr is this a good idea on a stock speed density car? what size stud are they and is there anything else I need to know when buying a set? I will probably be buying a new set off ebay. so if anybody would like to recommend some id appreciate it.

just found these. are they any good and will they clear?

Your hazard flasher should be on the back side of the fuse box. You should have a small silver can on the opposite side of the socket. Since your hazards work that wouldn't be the problem. Since you've replaced the TS flasher no turn signals could be the turn signal switch or the wiring at the switch. Sometimes the wiring or switch becomes loose or overheats due to the GT foglights.
