Hey guys, what are the simptoms of a bad MAF sensor??
My car has a ck engine light (which I know is a sensor), is sound like when you have a fouled spark and I have to keep it above 1500 if not I will stall!

Take it to Autozone and have them run codes that way you know exactly whats wrong. Instead of just changing parts hoping it fixes the problem. And one symptom is bad idling moves up and down.

A bad MAF will cause the CEL to come on and sometimes will go out. Mine when it went bad would run crappy until it got up to temp and then was still choking the car at take off from a stop. Since the MAF tells the ECU how much air is coming in, the ECU was in turn sending incorrect fuel amounts to the injectors and was doing all sorts of crazy miss firing on different days. I drove around a long time like this until I found out the MAF was the culprit and am now scared to see what the inside of my cyliners look like.

Should be free. Autozone isn't a mechanic shop so they shouldn't be charging for a service so there customers can potentially purchase what they need right then when they find out what's wrong.

I bought a digital code reader from Kragen auto parts for around 29 bucks, one of my better investments. CEL comes on I just dump the codes myself, makes it easy.
