I'm sure this has been posted before, but I can't recall seeing it. so here goes...I've always hated needing two keys for my mustangs. As most of you probably know, the special service mustangs came equipped with single key lock sets. There is one company that sells these online, for $400 a set! I talked with a locksmith today. Apparantly there is something he called a "fleet" lock. He would order two of these (door lock cylinders) and then key them to work with my square ignition key. The company he uses doesn't stock the hatchback or glovebox locks, but he did say that the hatchback lock shouldn't be too hard to find. Since my glovebox lock fell out years ago, and is now wired in the "unlock" position, I'm not really concerned with that one. Maybe I'm the only dumb@$$ that didn't know this was an option, but anyone else who wants a single key for their mustang should call a locksmith. I forgot to ask why he couldn't just key the ignition key to work in the doors; I got the impression that wasn't possible with the stock lock cylinders. The best part of the whole thing is the price: the "fleet" door lock cylinders are $16 apiece, and figure another ten bucks for him to key them. hope this helps somebody out.
