Six Gauge Instrument Cluster

Does anyone know of a decently priced six gauge instrument cluster for a 65/66 Mustang? Last I checked there was only the extremely expensive setup from JME Enterprises. http://www.mustangdepot.com/OnLineCatalog/Interior/jme65-66clust.htm

I have found a six gauge bezel from Sacramento-Mustang, but I'm not real sure about the quality. It's ABS molded plastic and $79. http://sacramento-mustang.com/images/sm_dashbzlcusL.jpg

I used JMCs years ago and have been very satisfied. What I did though was buy the least expensive black, el-cheapo one. Then went to a plastics outfit, in Sac by the way and bought some colored plexi that matched my interior. Using the dash as a pattern I cut an insert out and sandwitched it between the dash plate using the guages. Looks great! and as a bonus, you can all but cut out the entire center of te dash insert and cover it all up with New color to match plexiglass. I even thought about inserting some LEDs into plastic to give a glopw around the dash insert edge. (Too Rice-burner though

There are some plastic ones available. Try Haneline, they make a unit for the 65/66

I believe mustangs unlimited has one for $75 without gauges...and NPD has a shebly R-model cutout for about the same price without gauges, both are black plastic though I'm pretty sure

Hope this is ok to reference another forum post (http://forums.vintage-mustang.com/showtopic.php?tid/1469542/post/1731494/hl/gauges/#1731494 but it is easier to do that than for me to start over. All in all, I am pleased with the results of this set for the money.

I'm not a big fan of the "lips" under the speedo and tach on the bezel AZ Pete has. If it was just straight, I would have probably bought one too.

Considering what I just spent

A little over $500 for AutoMeter Cobalt gauges (tach, water temp, oil pressure, and voltage), it looks like a good deal to me. I`ve got factory air so I`m gonna have to mount my gauges up on the dash I geuss, still scheming on this one.

I don't think you can fit 3 3/8" gauges with a straight bezel.

Yep, several out there. I was not sure of the total look on the ones I bought but all in all, I am pleased. Mine are kind of like the original with the speedo dipping down below the line. Just wanted to show an option that is installed in an actual car.

I don't think you can fit 3 3/8" gauges with a straight bezel.

That may be a problem, although they seem to fit in the Haneline and JME panels and they are straight.
