"Skinnies" / Front runners / pizza cutters...

I've had several sets of vintage Torq-Thrusts over the years and as far as I know, 6 inches is the narrowest made in aluminum. They can be either 14 or 15, but I kinda like the look of the 15's better, with a 145-15 tire they make great-looking drag-style wheels for the front. The 14's came in either "zero offset" which means 3 inch backspace, or "1 inch offset" which is 2 inch backspace. The only 15x6 Torq-Thrusts I've ever seen had 2" backspace, or "1 inch offset". These sizes were cast into the back of all real American Torq-Thrusts. If you're a real glutton for punishment, you can look for a set of magnesium Torq-Thrusts. The came in 4 1/2" widths with "zero offset", but are a bear to care for and very expensive. I sold my last pair of 15x4 1/2 magnesiums for $650 and could have gotten more on ebay.

I liked the ones that literally did look like pizza cutters i.e no holes or anything just smooth polished chrome.

AR still makes them in 15X4.5

Centerlines are what you are thinking of - and they were polished aluminum. They were the most common I ever saw around here. Weld racing wheels were a close second and looked good on almost anything.

I'm trying to locate a pair of Torq Thrust (or look-a-likes).... I'm going for that nostalgic drag look. My question is: how narrow did they make them? 4 inches? 4.5 inches? Any chance that they exist in a 14" or is my only option a 15" ? Now for the "fun" part .... what backspacing would I need on a narrow wheel like that? (I've done the Granada disc swap) Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have a set of 15"x 3 1/2" and and a set of 15"x 8" centerlines. I would sell um real reasonable. Had them on a 66 coup. The car won a few local car shows set up that way but keep in mind this was the 80's
