Hey guys. The other day I was driving down the alley in my 2000 GT and as I pushed in the clutch I heard a slight pop sound. I suddenly noticed that the clutch pedal had more slack. Now I can push the pedal about 1-2 inches until I start to feel resistance. As far as I can tell the clutch still engages/disengages in about the same place and there doesn’t seem to be any drivability issues. I tried the clutch adjuster where you pull the pedal up with your foot but it didn’t make any difference. Does anyone know what’s going on here? Thanks.

Well, you can try to get your head down in there where the clutch pedal is and do the clutch adjuster with your hands. That way you can adjust it more than one click. Worked for me for a while. Its a plastic thing with a thingy and stuff...well, you'll figure it out when you see it

Is the stock clutch adjuster located on the firewall?

no the stock adjuster is located on the clutch pedal itself and it's a sort of automatic gear adjustment.. it sounds like yours is broken to me..

you can maunally adjust it by moving the two gearrs one click ( maybe 2 in your case) by hand
