Is Slick 50 power steering fluid any better than normal fluid and would fill it with all slick 50 or use it to top up when low. It is on sale for 1.99 a bottle and I am wondering if I should get some that is cheaper than normal fluid so I wonder if there are any advantages or if it is as good as it says on the box. Anyone care to respond with their 2 cents?

slick 50 is garbage....there are people who swear by that stuff....but i wouldnt put any of their products in my car. we used to sell it at jiffy lube a long time ago and the next time the people came it their oil would look like sludge

I dunno if your car has the same specs as my '88, but the factory manual calls for Type F ATF, not pwr steering fluid.

I wouldn't run Slick 50. I myself used to be a Jiffy Lube employee and I never, ever saw any kind of quality result from the product. I agree with HISSIN50 on this one completely - If you want a better fluid, flush that old stuff out and get some synthetic.
