Slight engine run-on

I noticed today after going for a bit of a drive in warm weather that when I shut down the motor turned and spluttered a but after I turned off the key. It didnt sound too happy about shutting down. Anyone know what might be causing that? Too hot plugs? Carbon?

Setup is a 302w edelbrock carb and msd ignition.

Could just be a bad tank of gas.

Or your timing might be a bit to far advanced.
