At like 30-35 miles per hour put your car in 5th gear and push the gas all the way down. If the RPMs go up, but the car barely accelerates it is a bad clutch.

This is true, but sometimes its more prevelant in some gears then others.. so basically I would say try it in 2-3-4-5 .. assuming you can... if it slips(rpm climbs and car stays at same speed) its 120% most likely your clutch..

you you can try a clutch test, if the clutch is bad start your car, put the e-brake on, press the clutch in and put the car in 4th or 5th gear. when its in gear let the clutch pedal up. Usualy your car will stall and die. if the clutch is slipping badly then it will stay on for a few seconds instead of turning off right away. This test usualy works most of the time. *dont face your car infront of any objects*

Agreed. The first trick wouldn't do it for me but I could be cruising in 3rd, press the pedal down to pass someone and the RPMs would just climb with no action at the wheels.

Also, my experience with a bad clutch made it impossible to do a burnout. The clutch wouldn't grab hard enough to turn the driveshaft/wheels. It would lead to alot of effort and a burning clutch smell.

Doing these incorrectly will make short work of any clutch.
I suggest you learn to do them correctly or stock up on clutches.

Spec stage 2 is all you need to know. Had a few myself and spec is the best for the abuse u speak of. Too many burn outs though and u will get damn quick at clutch changes. You may want to invest in a second flywheel to already have turned to make the job quicker.

Heel toe it. If you dont know how, learn. If you want to learn, it will most likely cost u some clutches.

Hold clutch with left (obviously) hold break with right heel, gas with right toe. Let up on clutch as u press gas slowly on each as to not shock the drivetrain and get tires going uncontrollably (like revving and dumping) You may need to adjust the amount of pressure on the break pedal depending on what the car is doing (if its moving press harder with the heal, if the car is dogging out let up a litte) Takes some practice but the best way I know of to do a burn out other than having a line lock or unhooking the rear brakes.

Have a real nice video somwhere of me doing this in my old 04 gt with a stock clutch and 4.30 gears. Lots of smoke and the only way to finish off old tires. I used to love doing burn outs and found myself replacing clutches. Now I realize I should just leave it to the track days to burn tires and clutches.
