i have a 1990 coupe and when i turn the multifunction switch from low to high for the wipers, the wipers do not increase speed, everything else on the multifunction works fine, brights, flash to pass, interval wipers, turn signals.. everything... but i have no high speed on my wipers....
anyway to check the multifunction switch? ohm it out? if so does anybody know what pins should read what when the switch is in different positions?... or is it possible my wiper motor is dead on the high speeds?
i would rather diagnose before throwing money at it. so thank you for the help

An old post from Jrichker:

Note the years listed - your '90 might be (likely is) different. I figured posting something was better than nothing in case it helps a little.

So on low you have no wipers, and in high they are slow ? If they are getting slower by the minute chances are your wiper motor is about to poop out on you.

Mine were doing that for a while too ('93 LX). Finally one night about 100 miles from home they QUIT working altogether. Before I replaced the wiper motor, I pulled the plastic cover and cleaned all the contacts. Still working to this day so it might be worth looking into.
