Change the oil and filter, check the air filter, and have the codes ran at autozone, then get back to us

Is the problem new? Spark plugs, oil change, fuel filter, fuel pump. Is it really boggy and skipping feeling when you give it a little gas, then picks up when you give it a lot of gas? You might have your fuel filter plugged with debris, or your spark plugs are bad. How many miles?

Just changed the oil last week Mobile 1 syn. and K&N oil filter spark plugs are 3 months old NGK TR55. Air filter was also cleaned. Its is just like it is struggling to rev. There is no cutting out or anything.

If it seems like a problem get the codes checked.. otherwise if you feel like you just simply want it to rev up faster.. pullies, midpipe, plenum and especially throttle body (accufab) help in that department.

Slow rev

Its should be about time to change the fuel filter, winter gas is poor, start there.

Pull plug wires ,one at a time and listen for changes. Also listen to your coils on top of each plug make sure they are tapping.

Check your sensors and hoses on your air intake. . Make sure they are clipped and pushed in the intake good. Clean your PVC valve.

If it sputters up to a fulll rev = it could be fuel (next step would be to clean injectors)

If it is simply slow to rev up= electric issues, you might have to take it in.

Your car will store codes even if your engine light is not on. Find someone else to check your codes.

Hope this helps!!!

Start with the basics, air filter, fuel filter, spark plugs, etc etc. All are cheap and easy to change. Be VEY careful on pulling and re-installing the plugs though.

Also the oil in the K&N style filters foul the Mass Air Sensors, its rare but does happen. Get a good electrical parts cleaner and clean it. Do not use gumout or any cleaner like that as you can ruin your MAS.

Check for any kind of air leak around the T-Body.
