Nitrous is now hooked up! But...Damn rain spoiled the fun at the track tonight... Definately much faster and thats only with a 100 shot, Gotta tune it and figure out where the sweet spot is for fuel with the wideband and then start all over again with a 150 and then the 200 shot.

Total timing is at 34 or 35 degrees total (approx 30 total with the retard) right now. (Two heavy silver springs and the Blue advance stop bushing in the MSD dizzy and 14 degrees inital timing.) I also have an MSD 8680 adjustable timing control and its retarded 4 degrees right now. Spark plugs are Autolite 23's so two heat ranges cooler, Only going to be running 94 octane. Im going to keep playing with it until im happy/run out of all three bottles of nitrous/run out of tires/Get a ticket...etc etc, You choose! Any way you look at it im going to have fun for a while!!!

Still doesnt feel like its pulling hard enough at the top end but I will figure it all out!

I don't see suspension on your nut and bolt list? If you want down the track fast you haft to hook. You are leaving 4 tenths on the table in the first 60ft. That is 8 tenths at the big end!

Have you ever tried stalling up the converter rather than flashing it? Less shock on the rear suspension = more traction.

uuuh yeah I tryed the old traditional way of building up the stall converter but with street tires I spun to half track with a 60 ft time of 2.5something and a 14.5 @102 Going to try again with slicks next time!

Heads, even junk yard gt40's would wake that sucker up. Your valve train is probably going to crap at about 4400 . 13's on a 100 shot is not to bad, and alot of fun.

its already been said but heads alone will make it feel like a different car. I have experience with this. I had basically the same combo as you: Fcam, stock heads, exhaust, intake, gears, stall and was running consistant 14.6's. Switched to AFR heads and 24# injectors and it now runs 13.3's all day. So i picked up close to a second and a half with just heads!

I am extremely happy with this as I still plan on running a 200 shot and this winter may be turboing the car with a 351 and megasquirt for tuning. We will see how plans unfurl!

Here's a link to a video of my Mustang and a bunch of other friends rides on Friday night! (Including a 4cyl pinto that runs 11.13 in the 1/4) You'll especially love my turning the nitrous on to find out that my full throttle switch decided to stick on! Lets just say I sure can turn off a switch fast!

u need heads and a better intake. AFRs or Twited wedges and a single plane intake. (victor junior)

where did you orientate that timing set? did you advance or retard it any?
