Slower car w/fuel light on???

Hey guys, I've noticed that when the fuel light is on or there isn't that much gas left in the car, for some reason it doesn't pull as strong. Is it just my imagination or does the car turn "lean" when there isn't that much gas left?

it's not your imagination. when you have very little fuel in the tank, you lose some fuel pressure. when you lose fuel pressure, you lose power.

yeah

I notice the same thing in my car.. once I got into a race with a ricer with the fuel lite one and I had a ton of people in my car.. and I still won.. hehe.. its ok..
