Just recently put in sequential tail light kit in my 03 convertible. The companies sell an ef27 toaster to slow down the blink. I see them on eBay for $10 vs $35 through light companies. Does anyone know if they have been modified in any way.....?

I am not sure about the cheap ebay ones but I know americanmuscle.com sells a quality unit called Raxiom modified turn signal flasher. They sell for 49.99.

Don't cheap-out when comes to electronics, go to a reputable company like American Muscle.
Not trying to be cheap at all. I was looking on autotrix website and they use what the say is a modified cec industries ef27 flasher. I was trying to find out if anyone knows if the really are modified. I doubt they open them up and change them.
I found exactly what I was looking for. Changing the capacitor in the toaster slowed them down right to where I wanted.

Can you post a video of them? I am thinking about purchasing the sequential tail light kit and want them slow like the s197 cars.
I will take one tonight in the dark. I don't think they are quite as slow as the factory installed s197 cars, but they are definitely slower than before changing the capacitor in the flasher.

I think the only way you could get them any slower would be altering the control board for the sequencer itself. Slowing the flasher any more I think would be questionable with the blinkers being too slow.
