magnaflow's sound is unmatched.... I just in stalled there x-pipe yesterday and it truly is the best sounding system out there, I've had them all mac, flows, bassini, etc...

Thanks for the input guys. I opted for Magnapak catback/Magnaflow catted x pipe. SLP is a lil bit too much for me as a daily driver.

do you guys thing gmmg will make their chambered pipes for a mustang or maybe let ford motorsports know how they make em, those things sound badass. i like slp,it's similar to magnapacks which are just about glasspacks so why not spend 90 bucks get a set of good old red glasspacks and see how you like the sound. it might be better than spending 350+ on slp. Oh i do like the sound of glass packs, old musclecars and farm tractors sound the same, what the hell is that guy talking about

So what exactly is the problem with sounding like an old muscle car. Is not a mustang a muscle car? Do old muscle cars sound bad? I would think the old muscle car sound would be the sound you would strive for in ANY rear drive V8?! No?!

It's actually interesting for me to see all this debate about exhaust sound. Kinda nice that the aftermarket has so many choices now. I remember the days when it was either glasspacks or turbo mufflers and the rest of the exhaust system came from the local muffler shop's bender. Either that or you dumped it at the rear axle.

Dude.. hear this from 2 days old experience. I was whining and hoping to hear slp in person for some time now.. then it happened. 2 days ago I was cruising around and there it was. A black GT with SLP. There was a truck that passed me first. So I thought heh.. just another 56' chevy farm truck. Then beside it I saw a black mustang passing the truck on the far lane. I was just shocked.. When the dude floors it. I just Some people may like it.. but for me... let's just say I'd take magnaflow or flowmaster over SLP anyday. It was loud though I give it that.. but other than that..

Have to agree with you Cotton...there is no way I coudl tolerate SLP. Too me it would ruin the drive home. TOO FRIGGIN LOUD! But remember I have a Vert. My opinon.
