My friend had them on his 98. I think they are average to slightly better then average sounding. We got pulled over at Old Orchard Beach and he got a ticket for a sound violation. All he had was the cat back. And MOD motors have a less aggressive sound, IMO at least.

They are loud, that is for sure.

I have the LM1s on my 02 GT...couldn't imagine it without them now. Fairly easy to install, took about an hour to cut the old exhaust off and bolt this one on. Best paycheck I've ever spent.

I dont like the SLP's at all, just does not have a good Mustang sound to it either as compared to chambered or straight through mufflers

I hav e the loudmouth. I got it when they first came out a couple of years ago. Mine doesn't sound like an old truck but i have stock headers and a pro-chamber. Two years ago i slid off the road in the ice and only bended my tailpipes so i hacked mine up into turndown which is where it helped with the sound and made it sound great like it does today. I always get comments on my exhaust and how people always want to know what it is. Of course most people dont have a clue about SLP so I just say well it was a $650 cat-back. Crazy to see how that price has came down since they first came out.

The LM was originally an LSx F-body cat-back.
The "mufflers" are just empty bullets. Hollow.
I have yet to hear the Stang LM, but they sound like @$$ on a GM.
Especially with an ORP.
Most folks had to replace the "resonator" with a Dynomax Race Bullet
when they went with an ORP, just to calm things a bit.

I just made made my own LM, of sorts, by using the Dynomax bullet
right from the get go, and saving several hundred bux on buying a
complete cat-back. The race bullets flow same as open pipe, and they
actually have a bit of sound dampening ceramic packing. So for 40 bux
each, replace your muffs and get better results.

My .02
Dave
