I still haven't decided SLP vs. Magnaflow.....anyone know what size the SLP pipes are? The tips are 3.5" but I can't find anywhere that says the cat-back size. I had flowmaster series 40/2 chambers on my 01 cobra and they sounded great, i got the same ones for my 04 and they sound whimpier than the stock 01 exhaust. I want it to sound like a Nascar again! Anyone have any recommendations?

They "should" be 2.5. That is standard now days. Anything smaller is restrictive and anything bigger is overkill.

I would forget the SLP's....magnaflows sound great. I've heard the magnaflows with both an o/r X and H and they sound great either way.

As I have posted before I have the first SLP system that was made for the supercharged cobra they protyped it on my car, there is nothing out there that sounds or performs better not an opinion but fact I have the dyno sheets to prove it. The numbers were posted elswhere in these forums. I dont work for SLP or sell there products but from what everyone elses dyno numbers with other systems the SLP stuff came out on top. With there headers x-pipe with highflow cats and cat back the car made 430 hp and 420 ft lbs of torque with just a K&N air filter. You be the judge!!!

uhhhhhh......

...yeah, what fastcoupe68 said.
what?

magnaflow or SLP........it should be a matter of your preference. Which fits/sounds the way you want? They are both going to make power.

Not sure on an 04 but the 01 with SLP loudmouth sounds mean as hell...one will be on my car soon. Hoping the tax return will be enough for some payments and full exhaust.

I'm in the process of swapping my Magnaflow catback for a SLP unit.

Why? Well, swapped a solid axle and I have a stock 04 catback now.

I should have it on my hands in a few days now. Also adding Hookers LTs and Matching X.
