ok my friend has a 95 gt vert runs good just really sluggish after 3 grand. but still runs smooth. we put fuel sys cleaner in it, changed all the filters, plugs wires rotor cap, we plugged it to the computer and all we got was it was running lean on both sides, so what would make it do this?

i personally don't clean mine, i bought a remanned maf from o'reilleys and just swap it out every 8mos or so to keep the 1 yr warranty. i just did it today as a matter of fact, and while my old maf helped put down 295/320 this new one drives a whole lot better.

If you do desire to clean the element (oil from cotton-gauze elements can dirty the wires), here is some generic info on doing so. Make sure to use a solvent which does not leave a residue (electrical contact cleaner, etc).
Good luck.
