I am soon going to have my engine rebuilt and i was wondering what kind of kit i would need to buy to rebuild it so it wont cost me a lot for parts.

Its a orginal 302 block with 289 heads and it has not been bord over.

here is a web page of a list i have to pick from.

Well you're going to have to answer a ton of questions first :(

You could write an entire book to discuss all of the various possibilities (and many already have, maybe you should go buy one first) that you can come up with for a parts list. For example...

Has your block ever been bored?
Do you have a 289 or a 302 crank?
Have you had them magnafluxed?
Are your pistons still good?
Do you want aluminum pistons?
Forged?
Hypereutectic?
What kind of connecting rods do you have?

That just scratches the surface. There are also a ton of questions regarding your performance goals.
How much power do you want/need?
How many RPMs do you plan on turning?
How much does your car weigh?
Automatic or manual tansmission?

In order to make good recomendations we need to know a WHOLE LOT about you, your car, your expectations and your budget. If you want a stock rebuild just go buy one of those $200-400 kits from Summit or PAW. Another good idea would be to buy a short block from Advanced or AutoZone, they come with a warranty and are hard to beat on price when you consider the machine work and labor involved.

i am not asking for more power i am asking what would be the best one that will fit a stock 302.

and a nother question whats better
Aluminum pistons
Forged pistons
Hypereutectic pistons

for a stock 302

They are all aluminum, hyper have some silocone in them and forged just means "not cast". Cast aluminum are the cheapest, hypers will cost some more and are better, forged are expesive and for racing applications, or at least serious power (or nitrous or supercharging etc.).

if you need to bore the block you should buy new pistons.

This kit would be a good start...

...but like my first answer, there are many variables that can change what you need. For example...do you need undersized main bearings or rod bearings? Since both are included in that kit you DO need to know before you buy, but you wont know that until your crank and it's caps are inspected closely. Your rods and caps will also need thorough inspection, and I would recommend shot-peening them. You are going to have to replace every connector in there too. ARP makes the best but they are probably price-overkill for a stock motor, some say there's no such thing as strength overkill though...think peace-of-mind.

Other considerations are your heads, do they need rebuilding? You'll want a new camshaft as well as lifters and pushrods. Rockers, springs, valves will need inspecting.
